59-Year-Old Man Offered Drugs to 14-Year-Old Girl at School
In recent months, the police departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, along with the patrol service of the capital Yerevan, have been actively combatting the distribution and use of illegal drugs.
According to Shamshyan.com, on May 18, the senior inspector of the juvenile affairs division of the Ararat police department received operational information that an unknown person had offered drugs to a student at one of the schools in Ararat city.
To verify this information, an operational plan is being developed under the leadership of the head of the Ararat regional administration, Saribek Rustamyan, deputy head Mamikon Hakobyan, and head of the Ararat police department Filipp Stepanyan.
By the decision of the regional police chief, an operational group is formed, and an operation named “There is No Place for Drugs in Our Life” is being conducted.
It turns out that the information received by the senior inspector was accurate, and the police located the suspect in Ararat city and brought him to the Ararat police department for questioning.
It was revealed that he had offered drugs made from cannabis to a female student at a local school, claiming, “If you use this, everything will be fine for you; you will feel good, and your academic performance will improve.” Fortunately, the child did not consume the substance, and her mother reported the incident to the police.
It was determined that there were a total of 3.9 grams of drugs made from cannabis involved in the case.
