VIDEO. I Won't Leave My Home of 22 Years, I Won't Sell My House or My Land, Says Kiran Resident Khanum Tamrazyan

Lilit A.

The home of Khanum Tamrazyan, a resident of Kiran, is also being subjected to the imposed delimitation which is passing to the enemy. “My neighbor, Simonian Mher, has been told to vacate the house by July 24. Today, the governor came here; I stepped outside and saw the border guard troops standing there, along with the governor. I approached him and said, ‘Mr. Governor, you have unlawfully come here, you want to evict me from my home, you are selling us to the Turks. My house has a title deed, the land too; this is my property, not the Turks.’ He told me, ‘It doesn't matter, you will leave.’ I said, ‘I will take my last breath in my yard, I will not leave!’ The governor also said, ‘We will remove you by force,’ looked at my face, and then left. The mayor approached and said, ‘Khanum, we empathize with your situation.’ I replied, ‘Do not involve yourselves in my situation; I am not selling my house or my land. I will live with the border patrol of Armenian forces, or I will live with the Turkish troops; I will not leave my home of 22 years. If I leave, where will I go? I am a sick woman. This is my home that I have worked hard for, that I have suffered and struggled for; I refuse compensation, nor do I want a new house in Kiran. That new house in Kiran will also be given to the enemy,’” Khanum Tamrazyan said in an interview with journalist Ani Gevorgyan. The video is available on journalist Ani Gevorgyan's Facebook page.
