Edita
Torrential rains in northern Italy have led to devastating floods, transforming roads into streams of water. The heavy rain has submerged the Veneto region, with local rivers overflowing their banks. In less than 48 hours, nearly 150 millimeters of precipitation have fallen, making movement on the streets, even by transport, a hazardous endeavor.
The floods have particularly affected Milan and Monza in the Brianza region, as reported by local emergency services. Authorities have decided to declare a state of emergency and close schools.
