Why the Director of Byurakan School is Being Dismissed: Explanations from the Regional Administration

The director of Byurakan’s Hovhannes Tumanyan Secondary School, L. Mkrtchyan, received his second admonition yesterday, which, according to the law, is grounds for dismissal from the position. This was reported to Auroranews by the Aragatsotn regional administration.

Previously, we informed that there is a tense situation at Byurakan Secondary School, where the director is being dismissed due to oppositional views.

Auroranews received clarifications regarding the incident from the regional administration. “In response to your inquiry, we inform you that the director of Byurakan’s Hovhannes Tumanyan Secondary School, L. Mkrtchyan, received his second admonition yesterday, which is grounds for dismissal according to the law. We inform you that the admonition was issued based on a violation of labor discipline. During an inspection by representatives of the regional administration, it was noted that during working hours, neither the director nor any other administrative staff were present at the school, violating the internal discipline and labor regime rules of the educational institution,” stated the administration.

“At the same time, we inform you that information circulating in certain media regarding the dismissal being politically motivated or otherwise is not accurate. The Aragatsotn regional administration conducts its work solely based on the law,” the office concluded.
