The criminal investigators of the Masis Police Department received operational information that on May 11 at 19:10, vehicles of the brands «VAZ-2112», «Chevrolet Volt», and «Opel» were traveling in opposite directions on Heratsi Street in the city of Masis. Following this, a group of individuals got out of the «VAZ-2112» and «Opel» and, showing open disrespect towards the public and shouting insults, began to strike those inside the «Chevrolet Volt» with sticks and bats. During this time, gunshots were fired from a gas gun.

The police report that a criminal case has been initiated at the Masis investigative department. As a result of operational-search measures taken by the Masis police officers, the identities of the participants in the hooliganism incident have been established. All eight young men are residents of Katnaghbyur village. It was revealed that they struck the driver of the «Chevrolet Volt» with sticks and bats during a dispute that arose over a personal matter, to which the driver responded by firing shots from a gas gun. Three shell casings were found at the scene.

On May 12, the driver of the «VAZ-2112», a 22-year-old resident of Katnaghbyur village, was identified, arrested, and taken to the detention facility of the Masis Police Department. On May 13, two additional participants in the incident were also located, arrested, and presented to the Masis investigative department. Charges have been brought against three young men. By court decision, house arrest has been applied as a preventive measure. The investigation is ongoing. The driver of the «Chevrolet» has presented the gas gun. Measures are being taken to identify other participants in the crime.
