Space Flights Also Seemed Unrealistic: Pashinyan on Peace Process with Azerbaijan
Both Armenia and Azerbaijan face challenges in perceiving the peace process, as they have never learned the principles behind it. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during his speech at the annual meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which is being held in Yerevan this year.
Pashinyan emphasized that the lack of experience in this area creates uncertainty and anxiety, which is exacerbated by historical experiences that signal the apparent impossibility of a peaceful resolution.
“Nevertheless, centuries of experience have shown that space travel also seemed improbable. But people achieved it because they were willing to learn new things. And now, no one is surprised by space flights anymore,” Pashinyan added.
The Prime Minister highlighted that Armenia's strategy aims at deepening economic integration with its neighboring countries. He drew attention to the establishment of inter-regional communications that will pass through the territories of various countries, underscoring their significance for both those states and countries outside the region.
