Man Enters Acquaintance's Apartment, Holds Knife Against Her and Forces Sexual Relations

On May 13, an extraordinary incident occurred in the Kotayk province. As reported by shamshyan.com, on that day, the investigative department of the Kotayk regional investigative directorate of the RA Investigative Committee informed the Kotayk police department that in the course of a criminal investigation initiated under Article 194, Part 2, Clause 6, Article 195, Part 1, Article 335, Part 1, and Article 456, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code, a victim identified as A.G. was interrogated.

A.G. stated that on May 5 at around 6:00 PM, her acquaintance K.H., being in an intoxicated state and taking advantage of the open door of her apartment, entered her home against her will. On May 6 at around 10:00 AM, K.H. visited again, holding a knife against her and threatening to detonate what appeared to be a grenade, forcing her to undress and lie on the living room couch. After that, he had sexual relations with her against her will.

According to the news agency, an investigation was initiated on May 7 at the Abovyan investigative department of the Kotayk regional investigative directorate under Article 198, Part 2, Clause 9 and Article 207, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code.
