VIDEO: Missile Strike on Donetsk Results in Casualties

Three civilian residents have been killed, and eight others, including one child, have been wounded as a result of a strike by Ukrainian armed forces targeting Donetsk. This information was reported by the head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic, Denis Pushilin.

According to Pushilin, a direct hit from a HIMARS missile was recorded in the city’s Kirov district, impacting a local café. “Ukrainian terrorists cynically shelled Donetsk on the day of our republic's anniversary. As a result, three civilians died: one woman (a café employee) and two men (visitors),” he stated.

Additionally, a 12-year-old girl, four men, and three women sustained injuries, with their conditions being assessed as mild to moderate by medical personnel. “One of the American HIMARS missiles hit directly onto the café (damaging the outer wall, glass facades of the building, and street structures), while the second landed on an adjacent semi-constructed building (damaging the roof),” Pushilin elaborated.

This morning, the defense ministry reported that air defense forces had destroyed 21 reactive projectiles of the RM-70 Vampire multiple launch rocket system and nine drones in the Belgorod region, while seven unmanned aerial vehicles were seized and destroyed in the Kursk and Volgograd regions. During the day, fighters frequently attacked civilian vehicles using drones, resulting in one fatality and several injuries.
