Six Individuals Detained from Ejmiadzin on Suspicion of Possessing Weapons and Ammunition
Six individuals have been detained in Ejmiadzin on suspicion of possessing weapons and ammunition. This information was disclosed to the media by the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It is noteworthy that a protest action had been previously announced in connection with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's visit to the number 7 primary school in Ejmiadzin.
Additionally, it was reported that yesterday, Bishop Bagrat of the Tavush diocese announced that peaceful actions would take place today in 10 locations across Armenia, including Yerevan and various provinces. No rally is scheduled for today; the rally is set to occur on Sunday at 18:30.
Starting early yesterday morning, citizens began a march from Republic Square, led by Bishop Bagrat, towards various universities. Groups of students were joining Bishop Bagrat from the universities along the way, including those near Yerevan State University, Polytechnic University, Brusov University, Agrarian University, and the Conservatory. Notably, Bishop Bagrat briefly entered the Conservatory, delivered his call, and exited shortly thereafter.
It should be reminded that yesterday, Bishop Bagrat declared the initiation of civil disobedience actions in Republic Square, calling for class boycotts and strikes. At the same time, two opposition factions in the National Assembly are initiating the impeachment process against the Prime Minister.
