Orbán: 'This may be the last chance to avoid a third world war'
The upcoming European Parliament elections scheduled for June 6-9 represent Europe’s last chance to divert from the path leading to a third world war, stated Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. This information was reported by TASS.
“June 9 will be a decisive day in European history. Power and money are on one side, while the desire for peace among the peoples of Europe is on the other. This may be the last opportunity to avoid a third world war,” said Orbán.
The Prime Minister urged voters to support the ruling ‘Fidesz - Hungarian Civic Alliance’ party in the European Parliament elections, which advocates for a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine and opposes supplying arms to the Ukrainian army. Orbán believes that a strengthening of left-wing parties as a result of the European Parliament elections and the maintenance of the previous EU leadership in Brussels will create a greater risk of Western countries being more involved in the Ukraine conflict and potentially direct confrontation with Russia.
