US Approves $400 Million Military Aid Package for Ukraine

US President Joe Biden has approved a military aid package for Ukraine amounting to $400 million. This was announced on the White House website.

“Using the presidential authority granted to me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, I hereby direct the Secretary of State to provide up to $400 million in assistance to Ukraine for defense articles and services and military training and to make necessary decisions,” the statement reads.

According to Politico, the new tranche of aid will include weapons from American military stockpiles, including missiles for Patriot systems, Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, Javelin anti-tank missile systems, and Bradley infantry fighting vehicles.
