The death toll from floods in southern Brazil has reached 95. This was reported by the governor of Rio Grande do Sul, Eduardo Leite, as conveyed by RT.
According to him, the figures mentioned during the press conference are not final, as rescue and recovery operations are still ongoing.
"The numbers are increasing, but unfortunately, we still estimate that they have a high degree of uncertainty because we are still in emergency conditions," said Leite.
It is worth noting that another 131 individuals are missing, and 150,000 residents have been evacuated.
Additionally, the airport in Porto Alegre has been flooded, partially submerged under water.
