VIDEO. There Are Cases Where We Know a Person is an Agent, but There is Also a Burden of Proof - Pashinyan
After the 44-day war, dozens of people in Armenia have been detained on charges of treason and are now reportedly in a status of being defendants. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a press conference.
In response to a question about why Pashinyan continuously speaks of traitors and agents, while Armenia's Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan considers such statements to be vague and political without initiating proceedings, the Prime Minister countered.
"There are cases where we know through operational data that a person is an agent, but there is also a burden of proof. Moreover, we know about the existence of agent networks in Armenia," Pashinyan stated.
He emphasized that there is a clear procedure for identifying and exposing these agent networks. He noted that while law enforcement has not yet been able to prove these cases, they will be able to do so in the future and present the results to the public.
