Iran and Azerbaijan Presidents to Open Dam on Aras River in Coming Days

The Presidents of Azerbaijan and Iran will meet on the banks of the Aras River, according to the Mehr agency, citing Yousef Gafarzadeh, the director of the water regional company of Iran's South Azerbaijan province.

It is expected that in the coming days, the leaders of Iran and Azerbaijan will inaugurate the dam on the Aras River, the agency reports. According to Gafarzadeh, the construction of the dam, a joint project between Iran and Azerbaijan, has been completed. The opening will take place in the coming days with the participation of Ebrahim Raisi and Ilham Aliyev.
