First Black Stork Nest Discovered in Lori Province

A rare species considered uncommon for Armenia has been discovered during an international scientific expedition organized as part of complex studies of predatory birds in Armenia conducted by the Armenian branch of the German Nature Conservation Union (NABU). The nest was found during the incubation period of the black stork.

• The species is considered rare for Armenia and is listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Armenia.

The efforts were carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia.
