Mysterious Incident in Yerevan: Gun and Blood-Like Traces Found in Car, One Injured
A mysterious incident occurred in Yerevan today, May 6. Around 00:30, operational information was received at the Erebuni division of the Police of the Republic of Armenia, indicating that an Opel vehicle was parked near the Saralanj road bridge leading to Erebuni, where a gun was present in the interior.
According to reports from the scene by shamshyan.com, police and patrol officers discovered blood-like traces inside and on the Opel vehicle, and a gun with similar traces was found on the passenger side of the driver’s seat. The area was cordoned off by the patrol officers.
Police later confirmed that a 50-year-old resident of Yerevan, Samvel M., had been transported to the Erebuni Medical Center from the specified location. Investigations revealed that he had sustained injuries on Freedom Avenue, prompting the Erebuni division of the police to initiate documentation, which was forwarded to the Arabkir division of the police.
At the scene, officers from the criminal investigation department of the Arabkir division began to ascertain where and under what circumstances the incident occurred. Due to the interests of the investigation, further details cannot be disclosed at this time. Documentation regarding the incident has been transferred from the Arabkir division to the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia's Yerevan city division in Arabkir.
According to reports, the injured individual is a former police officer and currently works in a rapid response team of one of the private companies operating in Yerevan.
