Bishop Mikayel on the Movement Led by Bishop Bagrat
Currently, the people of Tavush are moving from Kiran to Yerevan under the leadership of Bishop Bagrat. The leader of the Shirak Diocese, Bishop Mikayel, was asked by the newspaper "Hraparak" what he would wish for Bishop Bagrat and the people of Tavush. Bishop Mikayel stated that he wishes them success: “Whatever goal they have set for themselves, may that goal be realized,” responded Bishop Mikayel.
The media inquired whether bringing the movement from Tavush to Yerevan is justified. Bishop Mikayel replied: “The question will be resolved in Yerevan; it is not an issue that can be solved in Tavush, nor is it a matter for the Tavush provincial administration to resolve. The solution to this issue is not within the competence of the Tavush provincial administration; it is in Yerevan. Therefore, if the people of Tavush demand and Yerevan does not listen, then they must come to Yerevan. That is the logic,” answered the leader of the Shirak Diocese.
