Shoigu Reports on Ukraine's Casualties and Military Equipment Losses Since Year Start

Since the beginning of this year, Ukraine has lost over 111,000 personnel on the battlefield, and Russian military forces have destroyed more than 21,000 units of enemy military equipment, stated Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu.

"The United States and its allies are demanding that Ukraine prevent the collapse of its defense and restrain Russian forces’ advance at any cost. As a result, the enemy's daily losses this year have increased significantly, exceeding 1,000 soldiers, for a total of over 111,000 people, along with 21,000 units of armaments and military equipment," Shoigu said during a conference with the leadership of the Russian Armed Forces on Friday.

According to Shoigu, in order to replenish manpower, the Kyiv authorities are tightening mobilization. "Ukrainians who do not wish to fight are being forcibly sent to the front line," the Russian Defense Minister added.
