VIDEO: Tensions Rise Again on the Kiranzi Highway

Tensions are rising again on the Kiranzi highway. Earlier, a video was released showing how special forces were using force to detain villagers in Kiranzi.

This morning, around 6 am, a significant police force arrived in the village of Kiranzi, using brute force to detain residents who had blocked the road, including minors. Eyewitnesses report that people were beaten during their detention.

Bishop Bagrat is also near the police department. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has issued a statement noting that the Ministry of Defense is conducting demining operations near the Kiranzi-Kheyrimli section, which has led to road closures. Journalists are also not being allowed to enter the village.
