Video: The Civil Contract Party Accuses Levon Kocharian's Assistant of Attacking a Journalist and Promises Tough Actions

The Civil Contract Party has accused an assistant of Levon Kocharian of assaulting a journalist from Civic.am and has promised to take tough measures. This was stated by Arthur Hovhannisyan, the secretary of the Civil Contract parliamentary faction, during a conversation with journalists.

It is worth noting that Civic.am reported that Kocharian's assistant struck journalist Davit Levonyan in the premises of the National Assembly. The assistant approached the journalist and accused him of 'blasphemy,' after which he struck Levonyan.

The journalist had recently accused Bishop Bagrat of the Tavush region of serving Russian interests during a broadcast on his personal YouTube channel. Later, the website revealed that the assailant was Artur Sukoyan, who constantly accompanies Levon Kocharian but acts as his 'assistant.'
