Police forces have been deployed for harvesting, and active mine clearance work is underway, according to parliament member Garnik Danielyan, who made the statement today in Kiran.

"Right now we are removing mines, what are we supposed to do, bring the Turkish forces here again to commit genocide? Has Azerbaijan removed even one mine from its border? They still have all their mines and defensive positions on the border. This is not demarcation or delimitation. Can our soldier, or the mine clearer, or the special forces and military police go over to Azerbaijan and do such things? And they already feel like they are the masters here. They are not making concessions; they want to step forward bit by bit," said the parliament member.

"The authorities are facilitating this in every possible way. It is not excluded that a soldier who approached near the church will enter tomorrow and carry out a diversionary action, terrorize, steal, do whatever he wants. There is no defensive line, no mines, just a barbed wire," Danielyan added.

According to him, the problem is that the authorities are holding the people back with a large number of police forces so that they remain unaware of what is happening. He recalled that a few days ago, when a car without license plates was trying to pass through the road next to Kiran, villagers showed interest in what kind of car it was, and police forces arrived and attempted to clear the road by force.

"They beat and attacked small children, women, and the elderly. They pulled several people out of the car; we do not know who these people are. One says they are Turks, another says they are officials of high rank. In any case, the people have no information; they have deceived the people, bringing them to a point where they do not know what will happen in half an hour. People think that the police will come again to beat them, wreak havoc, and bring the Turk and the Azerbaijani to stand in the village," said Garnik Danielyan.
