Man Commits Suicide After Killing His Dog in Aragatsotn

A mysterious and tragic incident occurred today, April 29, in the Aragatsotn region. Around 12:20 PM, operational information was received by the Aragatsotn regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ashtarak police station regarding a man’s body found in one of the fields in the administrative area of Parpi village.

According to Shamshyan.com reporting from the scene, police and patrol officers conducted search operations over an area of 5-7 kilometers for approximately one hour before finally locating the site of the incident. They discovered the deceased, who was found next to a firearm, along with a basket containing a dead dog.

Following the incident, a criminal investigation was initiated by the Aragatsotn regional investigative department on the basis of murder (suicide) characteristics. Authorities have identified the deceased as 55-year-old Alen Ts., a resident of Yerevan.
