Powerful Tornadoes Rampaging Through Three U.S. States, Injuries Reported

Powerful tornadoes are raging through Nebraska, Iowa, and Texas, with at least three people injured, according to CNN.

The tornadoes began on Friday against a backdrop of increasing precipitation across the central United States. "The swirling tornadoes are moving through eastern Nebraska and parts of Iowa, with at least three people reported injured," the report states.

In the suburbs of Lincoln, Nebraska, the swirling winds have "torn off roofs from homes" and overturned vehicles. Several train cars derailed near the town of Waverly in the same state due to the tornado, a railroad representative reported. The station notes that the tornado and severe storms may continue until Sunday, with Saturday being the "most dangerous" day.

"Severe storms are expected to persist until Sunday, but Saturday may be the deadliest day as the threat spreads from Michigan to Texas," the channel reports. It is expected that the storms and strong tornadoes will also lead to damaging wind gusts and hail the size of baseballs across the U.S.
