Russian Women Report to Police Claiming Director of 'Victory' Park Spat at One of Them
On April 23, a dispute occurred in Yerevan. Around 10:55 AM, the operational management center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia received a report from 32-year-old Irina Rybachenko, a Russian citizen. She stated that the owner of the 'Victory' Park, 39-year-old Avetik M., had argued with her and her friend, 34-year-old Olga Tikhomirova, also a Russian citizen, struck her in the face, spat on her, and used offensive language.
Shortly thereafter, Avetik M. also reported to the Kanaker-Zeytun police station, claiming that two Russian citizens were assaulting Armenians and engaging in a fight while under the influence of alcohol. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.
It was clarified by the police that at around 10:00 AM on the same day, in the lake at 'Victory' Park, Avetik M., O. Tikhomirova, and I. Rybachenko had exchanged insults, showing disrespectful behavior towards the public, and Avetik M. had struck I. Rybachenko in the face.
At around 11:30 AM on the same day, Avetik M., O. Tikhomirova, and I. Rybachenko were arrested on suspicion of hooliganism and taken to the Kanaker-Zeytun police station, where they were presented to the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia in Yerevan, which has initiated criminal proceedings regarding the incident.
According to website information, Avetik M. is the director of 'Arevik' LLC.
