Mamikon Aslanyan to Remain in Custody

The former mayor of Vanadzor, Mamikon Aslanyan, will continue to remain in custody. The Anti-Corruption Court announced its decision this morning, rejecting the motion presented by his defense team. This was reported by lawyer Ruben Melikyan during a live broadcast on his Facebook page.

“The court decided to reject the motion, and political prisoner Mamikon Aslanyan, who has been deprived of his freedom for 2 years and 4 months—since December 2021—will continue to remain in detention,” he stated.
