His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch of All Armenians, had a brief conversation with reporters at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex.

“From this sacred place of our holy martyrs of the Armenian Genocide, we bring our paternal message to our people. Dear ones, in the face of existing security threats, let us be united, cohesive, and together so that we can preserve our homeland and our national life intact. We bring our message to the authorities; as the brave commander Saint Vardan Mamigonian would say, do not mix cowardice with bravery, for cowardice is destructive and spreads death, while bravery is the strength of the spirit to defend justice and truth. Dear people of Armenia, let us live with faith, hope, and reliance on God, strong and unyielding, and let us not waver in the face of difficulties. With the intercession of our holy martyrs, God will bestow upon our lives the blessings of peace, security, and safety from the heavenly heights. God will always be our helper and protector,”
