Video: Our Vital Territories and Fundamental Security Lines Are Being Destroyed, Says Former Minister of Foreign Affairs
Armenia must change the content and strategy of its foreign policy. This was stated today by Ara Aivazyan, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, during a meeting with reporters.
According to the former minister, it is necessary to create an internal and regional counterforce through political and diplomatic means that will deter the expansionist aspirations of our enemies. He noted that there has never been lasting peace in history.
“We will achieve peace when Armenia restores itself, finds strength within, and becomes the counterforce that balances our opponent's expansionist ambitions,” said Aivazyan.
He added that if they had hoped that it was possible to have an alternative foreign policy through the current government’s approach, they would not have left. “We see that this government has adopted a policy that it does not want to backtrack. Frankly speaking, my colleagues and I would genuinely be pleased if we were wrong, but unfortunately, time has shown that we were not as wrong as we thought,” concluded the former minister.
