Tension in Voskepar: Locals Prevent Mine Clearance Operations

The situation remains tense near Voskepar in the Tavush region's border area. Residents have blocked the road leading to Georgia, preventing mine clearance operations from taking place. This was reported by NEWS.am.

At one point, residents ran towards the area where, according to them, mine clearance work was intended to be conducted. "You will have to answer, let them all go back. Those mines were kept by our ancestors to protect the land; you didn't protect it. Tell them to get out of there," exclaimed reserve Colonel Mihran Makhsudyan, addressing the police.
