Ombudsman Representatives Visited Hospital for Tortured Citizen

The hotline of the Human Rights Defender received a report from lawyer Vahan Hovhannisyan, alleging that a case of torture occurred in the Shengavit administrative district's investigative division, resulting in a person being transferred to a medical institution.

Based on the received alert, an expedited response team from the Human Rights Defender immediately went to the medical facility to familiarize themselves with the situation on-site. Information related to the incident, as reported by media outlets and social networks, is also being investigated.

It should be noted that earlier, the lawyer had shared a video on his Facebook page, stating, “The consequences of the torture case at the Shengavit investigative division.”
