Iran Denies Missile Strikes on Its Territory

Iranian agencies report that missile strikes have not occurred within the country's territory, and that anti-missile defense forces have not been activated. Three drones were reportedly shot down over Isfahan.

This was announced by Tasnim and IRNA, as reported by TASS. Reuters, citing an Iranian official, states that no missiles were used during the alleged attack on Iran, and that the sounds of explosions were the result of air defense activities.

According to media reports, the drones were spotted over Isfahan around 03:00 local time (03:30 Yerevan time), after which the air defense forces “destroyed them in the sky.” Later, sources from Iran's military command indicated that the drones were “flying at a low altitude, and gunfire was directed at them using conventional anti-aircraft means, not anti-air defense systems.”

The Iranian authorities also noted that oil facilities in the northwestern province of Tabriz were not affected during the drone attack.

It is worth mentioning that media outlets previously reported that Israel had launched missile strikes against Iran, leading to explosions in Isfahan.
