Israel Will Respond to Iranian Attack: CNN

Israel will respond to the Iranian attack, although the scale of the response has yet to be determined. This was reported by CNN, citing an unnamed Israeli official.

“Israel will respond to the Iranian attack, but the scale of that response has not yet been decided... Israel has not yet determined whether it will aim to 'break the whole dish' or undertake a more measured approach,” the network's report stated, referencing the official.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), an elite unit of the Iranian military, announced on Sunday night that they are striking Israeli territories in retaliation for the Israeli air force's destruction of the Iranian consulate in Syria earlier in April. According to various reports, dozens to hundreds of missiles and drones, including Shahed kamikaze drones, were involved in the attack.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported that the military has been put on high alert. The Pentagon announced it would support Israel, while Iran's mission at the UN labeled the situation as a conflict between Tehran and Tel Aviv, urging Washington to stay out of it.

The Israeli Air Force struck the building of the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital Damascus on April 1. Tehran has stated it reserves the right to respond.
