The U.S. Sends Additional Forces to the Middle East to Ensure Extra Protection for Deployed Troops
The U.S. is sending additional forces to the Middle East to provide extra protection for troops stationed there. This was reported by a representative of the U.S. Department of Defense to RIA Novosti.
“We are deploying additional forces to the region to support regional deterrence efforts and enhance the security of American troops. At this time, we have no further information to provide,” said the military official.
His comments come in light of concerns regarding a potential Iranian strike on Israel in response to a recent attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
