VIDEO: A Strong Fire Erupts at Ukraine's Largest Thermal Power Plant
Footage of the fire that erupted at the Tripilya Thermal Power Plant has surfaced on social media. The plant is located within Ukrainian territory and is reportedly hit by Russian missiles. However, official sources have yet to report anything regarding the attack on the power plant.
The Tripilya Thermal Power Plant is one of the largest thermal power stations in the Kyiv region, supplying electricity to the Kyiv, Cherkasy, and Zhytomyr regions of Ukraine.
One of the primary objectives of attacks on energy facilities in areas controlled by the Kyiv regime is to disrupt the energy supply to military and defense industrial infrastructure. Constant interruptions in power supply hinder the operations of both troops and military industrial enterprises, logistics infrastructure, military repair shops, and other significant facilities for the Kyiv regime.
Previously, several analysts asserted that in 2024, Russia shifted its tactics regarding attacks on energy facilities. These attacks have become larger and more powerful, aiming to inflict maximum damage on power plants.
