Robbery in Yerevan: 36 kg of Gold Jewelry, Approximately 293 Million Rubles, and 6 Million Dollars Stolen from Vehicle
Today, on April 10, a particularly large-scale robbery occurred in Yerevan. Around 08:00, operational information was received by the Yerevan Division of the Police of the Republic of Armenia regarding a robbery on the Yerevan-Ararat motorway at Mairakaghaz street.
According to shamshyan.com, two citizens who were in a "Hyundai Sonata" reported to the police that they parked their vehicle, after which two individuals approached them and committed a robbery, stealing 36 kg of gold jewelry and approximately 293 million Russian rubles from the car. It was also reported that 6 million dollars were taken.
A criminal case has been initiated in the Malatia investigative division under the classification of "robbery." According to sources, the police and investigators have a theory that this may have been staged and has no relation to reality.
