Iran is the 'Head of the Snake': Israeli Foreign Minister

If Iran attacks Israeli territory from its own grounds, Israel will respond within Iran's territory. This statement was made by Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz in an interview with Kan Radio.

"If Iran attacks Israel from its territory, Israel will respond within Iran because Israel, due to its responsibility towards its own citizens, cannot allow such types of attacks to occur," Katz said.

According to the head of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, "Iran is the head of the snake." He added, "Without Iran, there is no Hamas, no Houthis, and no Hezbollah."

The Israeli side also believes that any potential Iranian strike would be aimed at military or strategic targets, rather than civilian infrastructure, the publication notes.

The Israeli side is preparing for a potential attack from any of its Iranian proxies in the region, as well as directly from Iran, not ruling out the possibility of an attack from multiple directions, as reported by The Times of Israel.

Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated that the defense ministry had completed preparations to respond to any potential scenario that "may occur concerning Iran." On April 1, Israeli forces attacked the diplomatic quarter in Damascus, where the Iranian consulate is located. The consulate was completely destroyed; the attack resulted in the deaths of Iranian generals Mohammad Reza Zahedi and Mohammad Hadi Haja Rahimi, as well as five officers from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Ebrahim Raisi stated that the authors and patrons of the strike "will be punished by the Mujahideen."
