Famous Opera Singer Yevgeny Kungurov Commits Suicide in Moscow

Famous opera singer and participant of the 'Voice' project, Yevgeny Kungurov, has committed suicide in Moscow.

According to reports from SHOT, at around 7:30 PM, Kungurov's wife contacted emergency services and reported that she had received a message from her husband threatening to take his own life in their home located in the Presnensky district of the city. Kungurov had written to his wife that 'tomorrow they would find his body in the bathroom.'

Following this message, the honored artist of Russia stopped answering phone calls. Worried, his wife immediately called for emergency responders and police, and upon their arrival, they discovered the artist’s body under the windows of their house.

It is known that Kungurov had mental health issues; although he was not officially registered, he was being monitored by a psychiatrist at a private clinic. Emergency services are still working at the scene.
