Russia Uses Banned Gas Against Ukrainian Soldiers: The Telegraph
Russia is using banned gas against Ukrainian soldiers, The Telegraph reports.
The Telegraph spoke with Ukrainian soldiers stationed along the front line, who detailed how Russian armed forces are firing tear gas, known as CS or referred to as 'Lilac', from drones almost every day. The use of this gas during wartime is prohibited by the Chemical Weapons Convention.
While CS gas is not lethal, it causes panic, which can force soldiers to flee their trenches, leaving them vulnerable to conventional weapons, the report states.
