Iran, Israel, and the U.S. Put Forces on High Combat Readiness: NYT

Iran, Israel, and the United States have brought their armed forces, specifically in the case of the U.S., troops in the Middle East, to a state of high combat readiness. This information was reported by The New York Times (NYT), citing its sources.

Sources in Washington and the Middle East stated that the U.S. is preparing for a possible retaliation from Iran following Israel's attack on the Islamic Republic's consulate in Damascus on April 1.

Israel has put its armed forces on high combat alert as well. According to an Israeli source speaking to NYT, vacations have been canceled for combat units, some reservists have been called up for air defense forces, and GPS signals are being jammed.

Two sources from Iran also informed the newspaper that the country’s forces have been put on full combat readiness, as Tehran intends to respond to the attack on the consulate in Damascus within the framework of deterrence.
