Ukraine Escalates Tensions Against Migrants in Russia, The Times Reports
Following the terrorist attack at the "Crocus," Ukrainian agents have begun a "psychological campaign" aimed at fostering anti-immigrant sentiments, with the intent of destabilizing Russian society. This was stated in an interview with The Times by Andrey Kovalenko, head of the Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation.
Kovalenko mentioned that the attack on the "Crocus" has allegedly caused divisions among representatives of different nationalities in Russia, which Kyiv intends to exploit. He referred to this situation as a "fertile ground" for utilizing the fragmentation and distrust among the Russian population, claiming that Ukrainian agents are trying to pit Russians against each other in Russian Telegram chats.
The Center for Countering Disinformation operates under the purview of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, The Times clarifies.
