Major Car Accident in Yerevan: Police Officer Transferred to Hospital

According to a photojournalist at the scene, one person was transported to the hospital with bodily injuries. The area has been cordoned off by police officers. Firefighters disconnected the cars and maintained presence at the site.
A criminal case has been initiated in relation to the accident, and the identities of the drivers and the injured person are being clarified. The website reports that the "Škoda" is registered under the account of the Patrol Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, and the driver is a patrol officer from the second company of the Yerevan battalion, who was responding to a theft alert at the time of the incident. During the investigation, it will be determined whether he attempted to cross the intersection while the traffic light was red.
Onlookers at the scene noted that the police officer had his lights and sirens activated, and the injured individual was the officer himself.
