Colonel Timur Myasnikov Dies Following Terror Attack at Crocus

Colonel Timur Myasnikov of the Russian Main Intelligence Agency (GRU) has died in the hospital from injuries sustained during a terror attack at Crocus City Hall. Reports indicate that he managed to save his wife and son from the gunfire by pushing them to safety and taking the bullets himself. This was stated by Arthur Malivanchuk, the head of the Samara branch of the 'Russian Officers' organization.

Malivanchuk noted that Myasnikov had sustained three gunshot wounds during the attack. “He was hit by three bullets. Doctors fought for his life for several days, but unfortunately, they were unable to save him,” he wrote.

It should be mentioned that Myasnikov had fought in Kosovo and Tajikistan, and spent the last two years in a special operation zone. He was awarded combat honors and medals. Timur had come on leave from the special military operation zone and was attending a concert that day.
