Russia to Tighten Control Over Migrants
Edita
Efforts to enhance oversight of migrant flows may accelerate following the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall. This was reported to RIA Novosti by a source in the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“The flow of migrants is a separate issue from the terrorist attack; it has been systematically monitored by government structures in recent years. The focus is on giving the process greater organization and increasing oversight of compliance with our migration legislation by newcomers. The tragedy at Crocus will impact this work, accelerating it,” the agency was informed.
Earlier, the Moscow Basmanny Court had detained four suspects in the terrorist case at Crocus City Hall, all of whom are citizens of Tajikistan.
