49 Individuals Arrested on Suspicion of Illegally Carrying and Storing Weapons

49 individuals have been arrested on suspicion of illegally carrying and storing weapons and have been transferred to the territorial divisions of the National Police of Armenia. This was reported to Sputnik Armenia by the spokesman for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Narek Sargsyan.

"The arrested individuals have been transferred to the territorial divisions of the National Police," he said.

According to media reports, all those arrested are members of the Combat Brotherhood organization. It is noted that the members of this organization had planned to visit the border village of Voskepar today, where they had been operating for the past year to enhance the self-defense capabilities of the local population.

Previously, it was reported that Avetis Avetisyan, a member of the Combat Brotherhood, had been arrested, while there has been no communication established with another member, Hrant Ter-Abrahamyan.

Earlier reports indicated that 24 members of the Combat Brotherhood had been arrested on suspicion of illegal possession of weapons and ammunition.
