The Contractor Will Be Fined: Haik Kostanyan on the Trolleybus Found in a Puddle

Today, a trolleybus operating under community jurisdiction was found in a trench cut transversely across the street made by a contractor at the intersection of Teryan and Koryun streets. This was reported by Haik Kostanyan, the press secretary of the Mayor of Yerevan, on his Facebook page.

“According to the decision of the Yerevan City Council meeting on December 26, 2023, it is stated that in the case of transverse cuts in the trafficable part of the streets, it is mandatory to fully restore and return the damaged portion to its previous appearance. The presence of any unrestored section is excluded for any duration during traffic),” he wrote. “Therefore, the contractor will be fined based on the provision of the council's decision not being followed.”

Kostanyan also informed that the trolleybus was not damaged and is currently in operation on one of the routes.

It should be noted that earlier, a video was circulated showing how the trolleybus ended up in a puddle after heavy rain.
