No Official Has the Right to Unilaterally Decide the Territory of Armenia: ‘Hayakve’
On Sunday, representatives of the ‘Hayakve’ initiative visited the Tavush border, where they met with residents of ‘endangered villages’ as coordinator Avetik Chalabyan noted on his Facebook page. They also visited the frontline to assess the situation on the ground. This was reported by the ‘Pats’ newspaper.
Later, from the courtyard of the Surb Astvatsatsin Church in Voskepar, which is directly adjacent to the frontline, ‘Hayakve’ issued a statement demanding the current authorities to put an end to the surrender of our homeland’s territories, urging our army and all citizens to be diligent and determined regarding the defense of the country.
In the statement, it was specifically emphasized that any concession of Armenian territory to another state constitutes a crime against the constitutional order of Armenia. It was also noted that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement declaring that settlements mentioned by Azerbaijan do not belong to Armenia is a crime against the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia, as no official has the authority to unilaterally determine what constitutes Armenian territory,” the newspaper writes.
