Ministry of Education and Science on Snoop Dogg Concert

The well-known rapper Snoop Dogg's concert, originally scheduled for September 2023 in Yerevan, will take place in 2024. This information was provided by the Ministry of Education and Science in response to a written inquiry from Panorama.am.

According to the Ministry, based on the government decision N218-Н dated February 15, 2024, an agreement was signed on February 19 between the Ministry and the 'Doping Space' LLC regarding the rescheduling of Snoop Dogg's concert. The concert is set to be held sometime in 2024, and the organizing company is currently negotiating the exact dates for the event.

It is worth noting that 2,318,596,800 AMD was allocated from the state budget for the concert originally planned for September 23 at the Hrazdan Stadium in Yerevan. We inquired with the Ministry about how much of this amount has been returned to the state budget due to the concert's actual cancellation. If no amount has been refunded, why not?

The ministry's response was that 'the amount has not been returned to the state budget because, according to the agreement signed on February 19 between the Ministry of Education and Science and 'Doping Space', the event has not been canceled but postponed.'
