Criminal Case Against Journalist David Sargsyan and Former Rector's Deputy Tsolak Akopyan Closed Due to Lack of Criminal Offense
The criminal case against journalist David Sargsyan and Tsolak Akopyan, the former deputy rector of Brusov State University, has been closed due to lack of a criminal offense.
This was announced by journalist and presenter David Sargsyan on his Facebook page. “After seven months, the investigative body has finally decided that neither Tsolak nor I are hooligans, and based on the absence of a criminal offense, closed the absurd criminal case opened against us,” he wrote.
It is noteworthy that on September 25, 2023, under the provisions of Article 297, part 2, point 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, Tsolak Akopyan and David Sargsyan, both residents of Yerevan, were arrested on suspicions of hooliganism at Yerevan State University. They were released the following day.
