Around 9,000 Children to Be Evacuated Due to Shelling in Belgorod Region
The authorities of the Belgorod region have made the decision to evacuate approximately 9,000 children to other regions of Russia due to shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This was reported by the regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.
“We are now planning to evacuate around 9,000 children from Belgorod, including from the Belgorod district, the Shebekino area, and the Grayvoron district. On March 22, 1,200 children will be sent to Penza, Tambov, and Kaluga. Next will be the Stavropol region,” Gladkov announced.
He also reported that during the week, shelling has resulted in the deaths of 16 civilians and injuries to 98 others. Furthermore, he mentioned that a girl lost her arm due to another shelling incident by the Ukrainian armed forces this morning.
