We Are Not Prepared to Take a Single Step Back, If Necessary, We Will Fight to Keep Our Land: Resident of Baghanis
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, traveled to the Tavush region early this morning, where he had meetings with the residents of Voskepar, Baghanis, and Kiran. Pashinyan brought with him the Armenian map that he has frequently referenced during recent press conferences, in order to visually present to the locals which areas he plans to concede to the enemy and the route of the new highway.
One of the residents of Baghanis told Oragir.News that, unlike in 2021, when hundreds of locals wanted to meet and discuss with Pashinyan during his campaign visit to their village, now the majority did not want to meet. “They were looking for a fallen man to meet. There were so few that they gathered from several villages for a joint meeting. Most of those present were people who had come with him from the city, along with security personnel. The heads of administrative communities and employees from the village administrations were present from the villages,” the source told the media.
According to him, regardless of what Pashinyan has decided or already promised the enemy Azerbaijan, the village residents are determined and will not step back. “We are not prepared to take a single step back. If necessary, we will fight to keep our land,” the resident stated.
