Israel to Provide Evacuation Opportunity for Rafah Residents
Israel will allow the peaceful residents of Rafah, a city located near the border with Egypt in the Gaza Strip, to evacuate before the Israeli army initiates operations against the armed wing of the Palestinian radical group Hamas. This announcement was made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who was visiting Israel, as reported by TASS.
“I assured Chancellor Scholz that our objective to eliminate the remaining terrorist squads in Rafah involves allowing the civilian population to leave Rafah. We will not conduct military operations while keeping the population trapped in this area. We will do the exact opposite. We will allow them to leave, as we are guided by our desire to minimize civilian casualties, and we will continue to do so in the future,” Netanyahu stated.
